A Garden Consultation is an hour long session that is tailored to meet your needs. It can be a Q. & A. session about pruning, training, what weeds look like, where things should be moved, a brainstorming session, how to make sense of your current landscape and how to improve the look and flow. I recommend that you come prepared with lots of question and or things that you want addressed. Bring a pen and paper to take notes. Consultation fee $100
Design
I am currently taking a break from garden design.
Design work starts with the cues that the homeowner gives me about what they are looking for in a garden. Things to think about before we begin. what is your style? What kinds of plants do you like or hate? What are your favorite colors? What are your least favorite colors?
It is best to have pictures of landscapes that you like. They can be pulled from magazines or pictures on your computer or phone. Pinterest is a great place to pull your ideas together and share with me.
Think about what your budget might be. We are able to tailor a design that meets your budget goals.
Each design is hand drawn in a ¼” = 1 foot scale.
Drawings have a number code for each plant and a separate sheet with a plant list that corresponds to the numbers on the drawing.
Design work: $35 per hour
Labor Fees for helping with installs or layouts: $50 per hour
Minimum Design costs excluding consultation fee is $100. Depending on the scope of work to be done and the size of property, the amount of hours to complete a garden design varies. I will give a bid for the site at the appointment and will follow up with a formal letter.
If the client would like a list of jobs to complete and start with I am happy to add that as well.
